Bayer Aspirin Scrolling Banner Ad (Spec)
The Client— Bayer is a global pharmaceutical company famous for creating Aspirin.
Their tone is insightful, understanding, and knowledgeable.
The Challenge— Bayer wanted a dynamic banner ad, sized 300 x 250 pixels, to promote their Bayer On-the-Go bottles and general brand awareness. These bottles allow busy adults to take their pain relief with them wherever they are.
The Audience— Professionals aged 35-50 with household incomes of 75K+, who are balancing careers with families.
The Solution— I focused on three benefits that stressed adults trying to juggle professional and family life would find appealing – feeling like themselves again, always having pain relief available, and the freedom to focus on their priorities.
Since the goal is brand awareness in addition to purchases, the banner ad links to a landing page focused on stress and headache prevention techniques. I centered two of the three ad frames around the idea of soothing muscle tension and relieving headaches as a preview of this.
The Calls to Action for each are softer sells inviting the viewer to click and learn more, rather than a high pressure “Buy Now” button. This increases the likelihood they will click on the button to view the landing page.
